We have some interesting results from last week’s test schedule! We were going to review some dup content tests but we are still waiting on more definitive data… If you missed the last update, you can read the previous update here, or catch up with any of our previous updates in the archives. https://web20ranker.com/category/seo-news/ Let’s get right into the test results from some of last week’s tests… TEST VARIATION #1 Page 1 – Just Contextual Reference Page 2 – Contextual Reference Innerlinking to Page 1 Page 3 – Contextual Reference Outbound Linking to External Page. (Generic page) #1 RESULTS Position #1 – Page 1 Position #2 – Page 2 Position #3 – Page 3 (Omitted or Not Indexed) TEST VARIATION #2 Page 1 – Just Contextual Reference Page 2 – Contextual Reference Innerlinking to Page 3 Page 3 – Contextual Reference Outbound Linking to External Page. (Generic page) #2 RESULTS (Mixed Results) Position #1 – Page 3/Page 1 Position #2 – Page 1/Page 3 Position #3 – Page 2 (Omitted or Not Indexed) TEST VARIATION #3 Page 1 – Just Contextual Reference Page 2 – Contextual Reference Innerlinking to Page 1 (no contextual reference) Page 3 – Contextual Reference Outbound Linking to External Page. (Generic page) #3 RESULTS (Mixed Results)(Note: Same as Test #2) Position #1 – Page 3/Page 1 Position #2 – Page 1/Page 3 Position #3 – Page 2 (Omitted or Not Indexed) TEST VARIATION #4 Page 1 – Just Contextual Reference Page 2 – Contextual Reference Innerlinking to Page 3 (no contextual reference) Page 3 – Contextual Reference Outbound Linking to External Page. (Generic page) #4 RESULTS Position #1 – Page 1 Position #2 – Page 3 Position #3 – Page 2 (Omitted or Not Indexed) In the 5th test variation, we changed one thing. Instead of building an “optimized” web 2.0 property, we used a made-up term and found a top-ranking profile page using just the first 5 characters of the made-up term. Example: jonfinqzletpedntrfe and then google “jonfinq” and see the top-ranking profile. We then varied the last few letters of the made-up term to repeat this test multiple times using the same profile to link out to. TEST VARIATION #5 Page 1 – Just Contextual Reference Page 2 – Contextual Reference Innerlinking to Page 1 Page 3 – Contextual Reference Outbound Linking to External Page. (“relevant” profile) These are the results of the very first test variation we ran… #5 RESULTS Position #1 – Page 1 Position #2 – Page 3 Position #3 – Page 2 (Not Indexed) After the first variation test was indexed, every subsequent test returned different results, but they were all the same result. Almost as if the first test could have triggered the subsequent results to turn out different. What do you think changed in test #5 after the first variation results? Let us know in the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/localseocommunity/ Unfortunately, we are out of time for this week so next week we will reveal the final test results along with our full analysis of the data. See you next week, happy testing! 🔹Rudy Hettrick – View Post Here I simply don’t get it…I’ve been busting my hump for almost 2 months to rank for the keyword + GEO – in their own local area even. and it’s getting worse not better. Ever since Nov 2019 – this has been a nightmare for this customer…I’ve even paid for press releases to make this better. I know there’s a million variables, but just wondering what you guys have experienced lately… 🔹 Max Matacchioni – View Post Here Are you disadvantaging yourself by not listing your address with GMB (ie not being a storefront)? Especially when you go to build NAP citations on other platforms as the address is not listed? 🔹 Kevin Dhimitri – View Post Here How are you guys meeting the right clientele, besides referrals? This past year for me I’ve only been getting low quality leads from outreach, business owners who seem interested in what I have to offer but end up going ghost or trying to implement the strategy themselves. I’ve been thinking I’ll start charging for presentation calls, but that won’t solve the problem of getting in front of the right people in the first place. Want to earn a $50 store credit?
