Meet Our Support Manager: Danielle Windsor
Danielle Windsor here! You’ve likely spoken to me if you’ve ever had to reach out for support. I am the Support Manager for Web 20. I’ve worked for Web 20 since mid-2017, when I started as the Niche Outreach Manager. At that time, we were just starting out, and I was hand-building all of our links.
Since then, I worked my way into managing the marketing team handling things like social posting, email marketing, and customer engagement and I did that for a little over a year, but now, I am in my favorite position within the company thus far as the support manager! Not only do I ensure that all interactions with our customers are positive ones, I help to plan the Local Marketing Mastermind that we hold each year, work with the customer success team to bring in and retain customers, along with a ton of other duties.
Position/Role at Web 20:
Danielle Windsor is the Support Manager for Web 2.0 Ranker. Danielle has been with Web 20 for over 5 years and has held a management position within the company for most of her time there, helping to build the links department, starting our marketing team, and now leading the customer support.
How long have you worked with Web 20?
Just over 5 years
What does your job entail?
Making the customers happy! Anything and everything that support handles typically comes through me first. You will likely talk to me in our live chat or support email inbox, but I also audit orders, our team’s processes, along with lots of other things!
What do you like most about your job?
Talking with our customers, I am on the front-line to hear what people like and don’t like, and I can bring that to the teams to make our services and processes better.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
My Family! I have 5 wonderful children and a kick-ass husband.
How has Web 20 helped you in your career development?
I’ve been able to advance in so many positions to get to where I am now that I don’t feel any company has ever offered me career-wise. I started with Web 20 building links, moved to manage the links department, then into the marketing team, and now my best position yet as Support Manager.
If you could switch your job with anyone else within Web 20, whose job would you want?
I don’t think I would switch with anyone. I’ve always really enjoyed customer interaction, and now that is my main focus! I am 1000% happy in my current position.
What advice do you have for prospective Web 20 candidates?
Take advantage of everything that is given to you to succeed. The number of resources you have at your disposal to grow in this industry is far beyond anything I’ve seen. If you put in the effort, it doesn’t go unrecognized and you’ll get far!
What drew you to Web 20 originally? And how has Web 20 changed since?
The flexibility in the schedule and work environment. We were a very small group of employees when I came on. Now we have more employees that I love working with and have grown exponentially!
What have you gained from working at Web 20?
Tons of knowledge and experience, great friendships, and a career that I can be proud of.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I love being with my family, whether that be a busy day full of sports with the kids or sitting on the deck watching everyone run around and play.
One quote you live by
“Happiness starts between your own two ears.”
How do you define success?
Success is when my home is happy.
What has been your favorite project at Web 20?
I really enjoyed helping put together the 2021 Local Marketing Mastermind in Philadelphia! It was such a great event and our efforts truly shined through.
What is your greatest fear?
Leaving my children too soon.
Where is your favorite place to be?
On the water!
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
Not that it’s weird but I worked the third shift in the dementia unit of a nursing home for many years. Dementia can certainly be tough to work through but it was a very rewarding job.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I would probably be back in nursing, and I love taking care of people.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to be a doula one day
What are 3 words you’d use to describe Web 20?
Community, Progressive, Flexible
