Our hypothesis is that concealing content on a webpage using various CSS techniques, including making text invisible or blending it with the background, will not prevent Google’s algorithms from indexing such content. This premise is based on the understanding that Google’s bot is capable of parsing and understanding CSS-hidden content as part of the page’s content, regardless of its visibility to users.
This test still used other content to rank, but in this test, we have decided to hide the text on the page using CSS. What this means is that all of the text will be available to Google’s bot in the source code but will not be viewable when looking at the page.
