Our hypothesis is that integrating optimized questions and answers into a Google Business Profile (GBP) listing has the potential to influence its rankings within the search engine results pages (SERPs), particularly for highly specific service-related queries such as “emergency plumber” or “emergency plumbing.” Initially, we theorized that adding questions with strategically optimized keywords could temporarily impact the listing’s visibility negatively, due to potential fluctuations in how Google interprets the relevance and quality of the content added to the GBP. Conversely, we posited that responding to these questions with keyword-optimized answers would not only counteract any temporary drop in rankings but might actually enhance the listing’s overall visibility and ranking for targeted keywords.
