HOW TO TRIGGER INSTANT VERIFICATION FOR GBP LISTINGS

We don’t believe this instant verification will be the norm for verifying a listing. However, we do believe Google is beginning to make a shift toward algorithmic GBP verification. 

Google stated last year that this year would include many changes, such as the management of GBP from the front end of Google, the removal of the My Businesses mobile app, and changing the way changes are made and approved on Google Maps. This means we could see a drastic change in the verification process, which also means more test opportunities.

During a recent testing update, we were getting listings verified within 20-30 minutes – a huge shift in the verification process. Even more interesting than the fact they were almost instantly verifying was how we added them to Google…
