HOW MUCH DOES AUTHORITATIVE PRESS IMPACT LOCAL RANKING?

We believe leveraging high-authority press syndications through platforms like Reuters, Business Inside, APNews, and Yahoo Finance, will positively impact local rankings by increasing the relevance and authority of their services. In this test specifically, we expect that mentioning key local service terms (e.g., towing services, emergency towing) in authoritative publications will improve the website’s positioning in the local results for the corresponding terms.

Our press release strategy targets the relevance of emergency towing services, with the goal of improving rankings in related search queries. Based on Google’s preference for trusted content, press releases that are syndicated to recognized platforms could signal higher authority and relevance, thus helping to improve local grid rankings for towing services.

For this test, we implemented our new Authority Press Syndication Service for a towing service located in a sub-city of the main website city. The website has a dedicated service page for the secondary location, while the press release referenced the main site and location. We created a highly optimized release discussing 24/7 emergency towing services, emphasizing quick response times, and relevant keywords like emergency towing and jumpstart services.

The press release was syndicated across various high-authority platforms, including Yahoo Finance, MarketWatch, Benzinga, and Business Insider. The content included strategic references to the towing service’s emergency features, targeting related keywords without exact match titles, but with supporting LSI keywords within the content.

Our testing timeline began on September 4th, when the press release was published. We monitored the local ranking fluctuations for key service terms to observe how the press syndication affected search visibility.
