Hey, it’s Chaz here and I was curious just what a $159 press release looks like, so I selected 2 industry heavyweights and purchased a press release from both PRWeb and Press Cable.
In the accompanying videos below I review the press release distribution report that was received from Press Cable and from PRWeb.
But in all fairness, I am a direct competitor and I apologize if there is any bias in my reviews. I try to be factual the entire time and in my opinion I think I fairly represent the facts. But watch the videos for yourself and let me know how I did.
The first press release service that I review is PressCable’s $159 “Write It Yourself” press release available here https://presscable.com/pricing.
For $159 PressCable’s sales page promises maximum PressCable distribution and you get access to a rapid pr writing software, both features that sound good at first glance, and that we put to the test during our PressCable Review.
The second press release service we review is PRWeb. Our PRWeb review looks at their Standard Press Release which is priced at $159 and is available here: http://service.prweb.com/pricing/standard/.
PRWeb’s Standard press release promises distribution to major online news sites and enhanced visibility through a Zemanta partnership. We put their press distribution claims to the test in our thorough PRWeb press release review.
Finally, competing against both of these heavyweight press release services, and their newswire distribution, is Web 20’s Premium Press Release service available for $79. You can learn more here about the Premium Press Release.
Our $79 wholesale press release promises major online news distribution, done for you writing, Google News Guarantee, plus a lot more.

Summary of Findings of our Press Release Review of PressCable and PRWeb
Though every conclusion presented is a matter of opinion, the facts as shown can not change the fact that both of the reviewed press release services performed substantially worse than I anticipated. I thought it would be at least comparable to our Premium Press Release, however, and I think you will agree with me from the evidence presented, that Web 20’s Premium Press Release far and away outperformed both PressCable and PRWeb in terms of delivering real impactful SEO value.
A few of the most shocking things about PressCable’s service was the fact that they did not succeed in getting this press release onto Google News. This is a major disadvantage for any agency, company, or firm that is counting on getting real exposure for their news. Another big shock I discovered while doing the PressCable review was how horrible the DIY writing software really was. It was not fast nor intuitive and the resulting piece it generated left much to desire.
And regarding PRWeb. What a major disappointment when I discovered that they do not provide a real link report. What a bummer. I just don’t know how you can verify placements or press distribution without a live link report. Next was the pitiful index results that this press release had in Google Search. I am wondering if the release was really distributed and published to all of the outlets as claimed on the PRWeb sales page.
In my opinion the hands down, clear winner is the Premium Press Release service from Web 20 Ranker. Our wholesale press release service designed for SEO cost a fraction of the competitors’ press releases but definitely syndicated to Google News and over 450 premium online news outlets, resulted in real website traffic, had hundreds of indexed links, featured the ability to embed either a YouTube video or Map, was completely written for me, and came with transparent and honest reporting.
