DOES GBP POSTING WITH NON-AI CONTENT & IMAGES IMPACT LOCAL RANKINGS?

We hypothesize that using human-written content with unique, real photos will not impact local rankings. Previous testing showed little to no correlated movement when posting to GBP profiles over several weeks. This included posting twice a day on one profile and twice a week on another. A control GBP listing with no posting or optimization during the same period confirmed this observation. We believe non-AI content and images will have little to no effect as well.

To test this hypothesis, we created 48 human-written posts and captured 48 unique images using a mobile phone. These posts were published once daily over 48 days to the GBP listing. Meanwhile, we tracked the GBP’s local rankings throughout the test period and compared fluctuations to a control listing that received no optimization or posts. To ensure content uniqueness, we incorporated different writing styles, creative elements, and local references.

The January and February posting schedules, shown in the images below, illustrate the consistency of our posting strategy.
