Our hypothesis is that redirecting a website, particularly one optimized with archive content, PBN links, and specific SEO strategies such as image snippet optimization and duplicate content internal linking, directly to a Google My Business (GMB) listing would selectively enhance local map rankings for keywords directly associated with the primary service or product mentioned in the domain name and targeted content. Specifically, in the context of the test site “dentist-in-york.com” being redirected to a “New Smile Dental in York” GMB listing, we theorized that such a strategic redirection would result in a notable improvement in local maps rankings for search queries incorporating the term “dentist,” reflective of the site’s content and keyword focus.
In this test, we used one of our previous test sites that we ranked with archive content and PBN links, as well as the image snippet test and duplicate content inner linking test. We redirected the site from the registration level to the GMB listing.
